Enrichment of Women Military Veterans

                                              Women Military Veterans

           http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2013/01/24/women-in-combat-briefing/1861887/

Women in the military is a big topic in everyday news. Frequent question asked such as do the do the same thing men do ? Are there more women soldiers? How does it affect them after the war? And what makes women want to become soldiers? More women now serve on active duty in the U.S. military than at any other time in our nation's history. They make up 14 percent of all branches of the U.S. military, or about 400,000 troops, and represent an even higher proportion of the reserve and National Guard. In the Air Force, women are 24 percent of the population. More than 26,000 females are currently deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan, and close to 195,000 have served there since the wars began. Women should receive a lot of the credit for all the work that they do and not only because they are women but because they are doing a mans job.

Many people are concerned about women who are active during the war but what happens to them physically and emotionally after war? Many women are affected with a post traumatic stress disorder. This doesn't only affect them it affects everyone who is around them.Their mental anguish, from mortar attacks, the deaths of friends, or traumas that are harder to categorize, is a result of a historic shift. Some psychiatrists say that women do better in therapy because they are more comfortable talking through their emotions, but it typically takes years for them to seek help. People dont realize how much women are affected after the war. The real question is who will be more affected after the war.

Experience of Walking Lighlty on the Planent

My  Process of change For the Better

  Day One 3-18-13
Start diet begin to eat more vegetables
Take of lights and shower faster after use
Start to put in energy saving products
Goal for the day: Eat Better , Buy vegetables, drink more water taking public transportation.
Day Two 3-19-13
Diet begins and taking more public transportation
Trying to keep all lights off and shower use shorter
Researching good energy saving products for my household
Goal for the day : My goal for the day would be to keep on trying with the good work also to try and do new things to reduce my footprint. My main goal is to help my world become a better place and begin to become more healthy. By me trying that would help my family to try and they can tell others and it would spread the word. I'm happy to experiencing these new things to help my world.
Day Three 3-20-13
Maintaining diet and fully taking public transportation
All lights are off and shower use reduced
Buying more fruits and vegetables for my household
Cleaning out front garden ready to harvest
Goal for the day : My goal for the day would be to finish trying to harvest my garden and to be persistent with it. Also to keep strong and try to eat less meat and junk food and eat more fruits and vegetables. It is very difficult to maintain this process because it is hard to change your habitats that you are so used to for something different in such a short point of a while .
Day Four 3-21-13
Still maintaining diet and fully taking public transportation
Buying more fruits and vegetables for my household
Cleaning Garden little by little everyday
Still Researching energy sources
Goal for the day: My goal for the day would be to still maintain my diet by eating healthier foods with only fruits and vegetables. Taking public transportation can get pricey at times but it is more better for the earth and it would reduce our ecological footprint. I had a garden in the front of my household for years now but i never put it to use. Now I try to clean it out day by day so my the end of spring /beginning of summer i can plant some fruits and vegetables. Energy saving sources are expensive so we are researching good energy saving sources for our household that would be beneficial and reduce or ecological footprint.
Day Five 3-22-13

Trying to transform my household into a better place
Still cleaning out garden to harvest in the end of spring/summer
Maintaining my diet eating many more fruits and vegetable
Spreading the word to everyone
Goal for the day: My goal for the day is to spread the positive energy around. By me spreading the word to everyone it can help the environmental become a better place. People do not know that little things they do jeopardize not only themselves but everyone around them. They can do little things to help do better such as turning of the water and turning off the lights. When you do little things little by little you fell better and you would want to do more to help things become better.
Day Six 3-23-13

Purchasing more organic things for my household
Day Seven 3-24-13

Ecology Footprint

                            = 4.97 Earths

                                http://myfootprint.org/en/take_action/reduce_your_footprint/

The world would not be a good environment if everybody had the same amount of worlds I have . I didn't know it effected the world as much as it does to eat bad, to not recycle, reduce my goods and services. My family household recycles but we do not save water and gas in our household. Since we are renting the house and do not pay for water we did not know that saving water was very important. When we shop for groceries we buy mostly food to cook for that day such as meat and rice , and the rest of the groceries would be snacks, dairy products, and fruits.Because of the junk food that is probably why our food is not healthy and good. In order to change we would have to change our eating habits, saving water,adopting energy-saving products in our household.

To get things like this for the better

                                                      http://myfootprint.org/en/quiz_results/

In order to get things like this I would definitely need to change my whole lifestyle. I would need to eat different , live different and become different. I would need to eat differently by eating more vegetables and fruits also to not spend money on items that I do not need. Also I would need to recycle most of my items . It would be better for me to use cleaner transport such as walking, biking or taking public transportation. Also for my home I would need more energy saving systems such as a solar panel, this would be better for the air it would cause less pollution.By making the earth into one planet would make our environmental way more healthy and make our earth last longer. This would be a very difficult change for me but if its for the better then it is what is best.

                                 http://tx.english-ch.com/teacher/alvi/home/seven-bad-eating-habits/  (left)

                                         http://blog.traumeel.us/default.aspx?Tag=eat%20well  (right)

My life would be changed completely changed if I had lived better. My routine from morning to night would be completely different . I would eat different travel different and my household would become different. Change can be hard but it will change your life eternally. It would be better for you to try to help your environmental become a better place. I would need to buy things more healthy such as vegetables and fruits and organic materials. I would need to add more energy saving sources in my household things that save water, gas and energy.I would need to travel with less pollution such as walking , riding a bicycle or taking public transportation. I wouldn't mind doing these things because at the end of the day I know that its making my world become a better place to be and live in.

Ways to REDUCE my Ecological Footprint

  • Do not drive take public transportation - Driving causes a lot of pollution , having a car with  a lot of mileage and takes up a lot of space. Walking or taking public transportation will reduce your ecological  footprint by at least 20%.
  • Do not waste food and grow vegetables- Many people would rather eat meat and junk food rather then eating fresh fruit or vegetable that you can grow from your own garden. Eating fruits and vegetables is better overall for your body and the ecological footprint because its more healthy for your body and it reduces your footprint.
  • Do not buy new things borrow- People often have a habit buying new things when they do not need it . Buying things take up more space and it might be unnecessary also increases your footprint. Value what you have and make things easier for the world.

Economy In Crisis

                                              http://www.rolandsmartin.com/blog/index.php/2010/02/11/once-stigmatized-food-stamps-find-acceptance/

"46.7 million Americans must now use food stamps in order to get a meal, and many are not old enough to earn money for themselves".According to the Burean of Labor Statistics food prices is suppose to increase by three percent this year. This will only make it harder for females with food stamps to get the right amount of food they need every month. I'm assuming that female would most liking be getting the same amount of money monthly or even less according to how the economy is right now no matter how much the price of food increases.

This is both a economic and a public problem. There are so many people on food stamps and the government spends so much money on it! But then again the SNAP benefit (food stamps) program is good because some family really don't have money.Certain families come from  poor a neighborhood where they cannot provide for their family like they are supposed to.The SNAP benefit helps these families provide for their families , bring food on their house and making sure their children are well fed and healthy. It can be an economic problem because the government spends so much money on the food used for the economy.

Krugman On The Economy

Krugman believes that the government will need to increase spending in order to create jobs. He feels the jobs should come first and that should be the main focus for the government. "Krugman argues that we should put aside our excessive focus on saving money, try to overcome political recalcitrance, and spend money to put America back to work."  He is saying that we need to come to reality and try to get America back where we need to be. Rules don't change as fast as they need to to in the economic in order to see progress quicker.  Krugman states  that the economy is " Not as bad as the Great Depression. It's terrible. We have a persistently depressed economy, persistent lack of jobs...It's a situation where the normal rules of what you-- of economic policy, have to be put on hold, and you really need to do extraordinary stuff." He is saying that we are this far the situation is becoming more worst and serious why isn't no one taking full charge like they need to to make the situation better. Paul states his Opinion on what should be done to bring the economy out of the current "depression". Krugman promotes the need for full employment, meaning a 5% unemployment rate. These jobs which need to be created could include building roads, fixing tracks and anything that could better the environment as well as business which causes the need for hiring. Krugman encourages Obama to read his book and lean towards policies that might promote full employment. Even though Krugman point of view makes perfect send some disagree with Paul Krugman's opinions.

Anti-Krugman

Some people feel like Krugman just makes everything worst in the community and that his opinion doesn't matter. Doesn't it seem more logical, Mr. Krugman, that employers have only a limited amount of money with which they can hire employees? And, perhaps, forcing them to pay each employee more money might force them to discharge some employees in order to cover the new, increased labor cost? It also seems logical, then, that these displaced employees would be less inclined to use any savings they have to purchase the same amount of goods and services. It is even feasible to assume that some employers would not be able to lay off enough workers to continue production, and as a result, would have to raise prices instead (thereby reducing quantity demanded for their product). It is not out of the realm of possibility that this could drive companies who were employing numerous workers out of business entirely.

In my opinion I feel like Krugman is doing the right thing. I am for Krugman. Actually, he’s not quite right there, as I’ll explain in a minute. But it’s certainly true that neither stimulus advocates nor hard-line stimulus opponents have changed their positions. The question is, does this say something about the limits of data — or is it just a commentary on human nature, especially in a highly politicized environment?

Obama Care

Obama Care is a topic about health care which will never be fully decided. People feel like it will make our city become bankrupt and will increase taxes and others feel like that it might be the best thing that has been invented. A hot topic in the U.S. and the world at large right now is fighting the high cost of healthcare. In the United States, a polarizing issue is the Affordable Care Act, better known as "Obama care." There are many people up in arms about the future of healthcare in America. There are many components of the Affordable Care Act that are widely misunderstood by many citizens. Here's a look at things you need to know about Obama care, and why it's not as scary.Obama Care’s goal is to provide affordable health insurance for all US citizens and to reduce the growth in health care spending.(Luke Sharret,The New York times)
Obama Care does not replace private insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. The Fact is Obama Care gives 47 million women access to preventative health services and makes it illegal to charge women different rates than men. Get More Obama Care Women's Health Services Facts. Obama Care gives seniors access to cheaper drugs, free preventive care, Reforms Medicare Advantage, and closes the Medicare Part D 'donut hole. The AARP agrees, costs won't rise because of Obama Care, if anything the improvements to the system will make seniors health care costs go down. Obama care is not replacing private health insurance, Medicaid or Medicare. The Affordable Care Act works hand in hand with private insurance by regulating insurance practices and giving citizens affordable options and making sure that every American citizen has access to affordable healthcare. Without private insurance, the Affordable Care Act would not work. There is no specific "government" plan; you are free to select whichever plan you desire. Some aspects of Obama care health care reform are already enacted.(Health Care Org) The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act were signed in 2010, we bet you didn't even notice unless you needed coverage and didn't have it. The Affordable Care Act requires that insurance plans cover preventative services and stops insurance companies from dropping you when you are sick, as well as offering a number of other reforms and protections. There are many people who would like to see Obama Care repealed. If Obama care is repealed millions of Americans will be without proper health coverage and insurance companies will continue to be able to deny healthcare for preexisting conditions. Without healthcare reform America will continue suffer the consequences of a health care system controlled by private companies, whose bottom line is money and not health. Help Obama Care Facts to spread the truth about President Obama's health care reform.(Amanda C.Haury)

Some people definitely feel different. They might feel that Obama Care is not beneficial to us in the city. Let me offer a radical counter-theory on why Obama Care’s popularity never took off: As much as people dislike some aspects of their health care, they get panicky at the prospect of a major overhaul. Too much can go wrong if things don’t work out — longer waits, fewer doctors, more expensive care. Toss in a strange new power grab in the form of the mandate, exotic procedures being used in Congress to pass the thing, the prospect of Medicare being raided to pay for the reform, and the unpalatable reality of big government rolling out the ultimate big government program and you've got a mighty heavy lift turning this into a political winner.I don't agree with this because this will be beneficial for people who is in need and it will help people who need help. Everyone who is against this have it good and they are only thinking about themselves which is not fair. They need to be open minded and think about what others need and how it can help make communities better.(AllahPundit)
In conclusion I am a pro con for Obama care. I feel like it will help and make a difference in the future for everybody. Obama Care reforms everything from practices of insurance companies to ensuring better quality health care for all Americans. A summary of all the reforms within Obama Care is a available here at our Health Care Reform Timeline. We have only touched upon some of the benefits of the Affordable Care Act in this Obama care summary. The Bill itself is a accumulation of many different reforms that improve our healthcare system and provide affordable health insurance to all Americans. Read more about the specifics of Obama care or read a more detailed overview of what the Obama Care has to offer in our Affordable Care Act Summary(Affordable Health Care Org)
