      Women in the military is a big topic in everyday news. Frequent question asked such as do the do the same thing men do ? Are there more women soldiers? How does it affect them after the war? And what makes women want to become soldiers? More women now serve on active duty in the U.S. military than at any other time in our nation's history. They make up 14 percent of all branches of the U.S. military, or about 400,000 troops, and represent an even higher proportion of the reserve and National Guard. In the Air Force, women are 24 percent of the population. More than 26,000 females are currently deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan, and close to 195,000 have served there since the wars began. Women should receive a lot of the credit for all the work that they do and not only because they are women but because they are doing a mans job.

     Many people are concerned about women who are active during the war but what happens to them physically and emotionally after war? Many women are affected with a post traumatic stress disorder. This doesn't only affect them it affects everyone who is around them.Their mental anguish, from mortar attacks, the deaths of friends, or traumas that are harder to categorize, is a result of a historic shift. Some psychiatrists say that women do better in therapy because they are more comfortable talking through their emotions, but it typically takes years for them to seek help. People dont realize how much women are affected after the war. The real question is who will be more affected after the war.

  Day One 3-18-13
Start diet begin to eat more vegetables
Take of lights and shower faster after use
Start to put in energy saving products
Goal for the day: Eat Better , Buy vegetables, drink more water taking public transportation.
Day Two 3-19-13
Diet begins and taking more public transportation
Trying to keep all lights off and shower use shorter
Researching good energy saving products for my household
Goal for the day : My goal for the day would be to keep on trying with the good work also to try and do new things to reduce my footprint. My main goal is to help my world become a better place and begin to become more healthy. By me trying that would help my family to try and they can tell others and it would spread the word. I'm happy to experiencing these new things to help my world.
Day Three 3-20-13
Maintaining diet and fully taking public transportation
All lights are off and shower use reduced
Buying more fruits and vegetables for my household
Cleaning out front garden ready to harvest
Goal for the day : My goal for the day would be to finish trying to harvest my garden and to be persistent with it. Also to keep strong and try to eat less meat and junk food and eat more fruits and vegetables. It is very difficult to maintain this process because it is hard to change your habitats that you are so used to for something different in such a short point of a while .
Day Four 3-21-13
Still maintaining diet and fully taking public transportation
Buying more fruits and vegetables for my household
Cleaning Garden little by little everyday 
Still Researching energy sources
Goal for the day: My goal for the day would be to still maintain my diet by eating healthier foods with only fruits and vegetables. Taking public transportation can get pricey at times but it is more better for the earth and it would reduce our ecological footprint. I had a garden in the front of my household for years now but i never put it to use. Now I try to clean it out day by day so my the end of spring /beginning of summer i can plant some fruits and vegetables. Energy saving sources are expensive so we are researching good energy saving sources for our household that would be beneficial and reduce or ecological footprint. 
Day Five 3-22-13
        
Trying to transform my household into a better place

Spreading the word to everyone
Goal for the day: My goal for the day is to spread the positive energy around. By me spreading the word to everyone it can help the environmental become a better place. People do not know that little things they do jeopardize not only themselves but everyone around them. They can do little things to help do better such as turning of the water and turning off the lights. When you do little things little by little you fell better and you would want to do more to help things become better.

     The world would not be a good environment if everybody had the same amount of worlds I have . I didn't know it effected the world as much as it does to eat bad, to not recycle,reduce my goods and services. My family household recycles but we do not save water and gas in our household. Since we are renting the house and do not pay for water we did not know that saving water was very important. When we shop for groceries we buy mostly food to cook for that day such as meat and rice , and the rest of the groceries would be snacks, dairy products,and fruits.Because of the junk food that is probably why our food is not healthy and good. In order to change we would have to change our eating habits, saving water,adopting energy-saving products in our household.

     In order to get things like this I would definitely need to change my whole lifestyle. I would need to eat different , live different and become different. I would need to eat differently by eating more vegetables and fruits also to not spend money on items that I do not need. Also I would need to recycle most of my items . It would be better for me to use cleaner transport such as walking, biking or taking public transportation. Also for my home I would need more energy saving systems such as a solar panel, this would be better for the air it would cause less pollution.By making the earth into one planet would make our environmental way more healthy and make our earth last longer. This would be a very difficult change for me but if its for the better then it is what is best.

   My life would be changed completely changed if I had lived better. My routine from morning to night would be completely different . I would eat different travel different and my household would become different. Change can be hard but it will change your life eternally. It would be better for you to try to help your environmental become a better place. I would need to buy things more healthy such as vegetables and fruits and organic materials. I would need to add more energy saving sources in my household things that save water, gas and energy.I would need to travel with less pollution such as walking , riding a bicycle or taking public transportation. I wouldn't mind doing these things because at the end of the day I know that its making my world become a better place to be and live in.



         Ways to REDUCE my Ecological Footprint


  • Do not drive take public transportation - Driving causes a lot of pollution , having a car with  a lot of mileage and takes up a lot of space. Walking or taking public transportation will reduce your ecological  footprint by at least 20%.
  • Do not waste food and grow vegetables- Many people would rather eat meat and junk food rather then eating fresh fruit or vegetable that you can grow from your own garden. Eating fruits and vegetables is better overall for your body and the ecological footprint because its more healthy for your body and it reduces your footprint.
  • Do not buy new things borrow- People often have a habit buying new things when they do not need it . Buying things take up more space and it might be unnecessary also increases your footprint. Value what you have and make things easier for the world.
